Are you a veteran or active duty military member who was issued military earplugs between 2001 and 2015? In July of 2018, a contracting company by the name of 3M agreed to pay $9.1 million to resolve allegations that it and its predecessor, Aearo Technologies, knowingly sold defective earplugs to the United States Military, resulting in hearing loss, impairment and/or tinnitus for veterans and active duty military members. These earplugs were standard-issued between 2001 and 2015 for military members serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
